Mark Dancey is a cartoonist and painter who resides in Detroit in the US. I stumbled across his website “Illuminado” – The Mark Dancey Center for Graphic Energy. I love his acrylic work, the circular images portray women in numerous states of undress from great heights.

The first time i watched the Ren & Stimpy show, I felt physically sick (I’d always been one of those kids that couldn’t handle runny stuff out in the backyard). I was immediately shunned by my friends and I placed myself into hard training to learn to cope with the extreme grotesque close ups Bill Wray illustrates within the cartoon to fit back in socially. I eventually suceeded and have had a soft spot for the show ever since. Bill Wray continues as an artist producing work which follows through from his famous work on Ren and Stimpy and Mad Magazine, through to haunting landscapes of his local surrounds in California. His blog, which is updated regularly is a cool little insight into his current works.

Jess Fink has been doing erotic comics for Eros/Fantagraphics books for the past 3 years. Her erotic paintings have also been featured in galleries and on other blogs. Recently, Jess (and a few other erotic comics writers) started up Adult Webcomics, an excellent free erotic comics site (to check out Jess’ work on this site go to “comics” then “Jess Fink”).
You can check out Jess’ official illustration site here, she’s currently working on a site just for her erotic work, but in the meantime (as a special treat!) you can view some of her diverse erotic work here.

Texas born graphic artist and illustrator Jim Blanchard has taken on a wide range of artistic roles. His graphic influences extend from “trash†culture (vintage record covers, “pulp†illustrations, movie art, rock posters, underground comix) to great “high brow†painters and print artists throughout history. Check out his work here and here.

“I live with my daughter and 2 wives in NYC, I spend most of my time locked in the basement, sketching women while listening to music and wasting my time in cyberspace. I like long walks on the beach, latin american poetry, lime flavored Tostitosâ„¢, tongue burritos, Coronas with lime and salt, kalamata olives, comics without text and textbooks without pictures”.
Check out the blog of Lucio Alberto Ruiz-Diaz. Really nice illustration style and again, you have got to love someone who shares their process with the world, so inspiring.

New York born Michael Kirwan considers erotica to be a form of folk art and sees his work as a pictoral history of homosexual norms and values. Infused with color and detail, his drawings depict many ages, ethnicities and body types in direct counterpoint to the more traditional “uberman” represented by most of his contemporaries.

Dale Lazarov and Steve McIsaac are the naughty men behind STICKY, a hardcover collection of erotic tales of man-on-man carnality and sweetness (written by Dale Lazarov and drawn by Steve MacIsaac).

“Disneyland Memorial Orgy” Poster, 1967
One of the original Mad Magazine illustrators, Wally Wood published this poster in The Realist, an underground newsletter, in 1967. An inside source at Disney told Realist editor Paul Krassner that the company chose not to sue to avoid drawing attention to what could ultimately be a losing battle. Click here to view, or buy, the poster.

Robert Crumb (born August 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an artist and illustrator recognized for the distinctive style of his drawings and his critical, satirical, subversive view of the American mainstream.
Crumb was a founder of the underground comics movement and is regarded as its most prominent figure. Though one of the most celebrated of comic book artists, Crumb’s entire career has unfolded outside the mainstream comic book publishing industry. One of his most recognized works is the Keep On Truckin’ drawing, which became a widely distributed fixture of pop-culture in the 1970′s. Be sure to watch this documentary on the man, definitely a must have for your collection. Also check out this fan site for more images.

Chris Coop or better known as Coop. Very cool poster art, lots of sexy girls, crazy horny robots, and hot cars.
Quoted as saying, “You can never go wrong with Lesbo Devil Girls!” Checking out his site, I’m inclined to agree.

I stumbled upon some work by an Artist known as Panzar. He/She/They have some amazing 3D CG work here, but also have some erotic 2D work here, which lead me to their XXX erotic art at XXX Madness (it’s a paysite but you can check out some of his work on the tour). Scary! How deep does the rabbit hole go?!

I was sooooo disappointed when i recently visited Sexy Losers only to discover its creator, Clay has made the hard decision to stop updating his highly amusing and successful online comic. But don’t let that stop you from visiting the site. There are 244 individual comics to his series. Witty, naughty and a little wrong, I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

Where do I start with Dave McKean?! (he’s my hero). Readers of Neil Gaiman’s excellent Sandman comic book series would know Dave’s work on the beautiful covers. Textured, mixed media, emotional, smart and highly conceptual artwork which has influenced so many artists the world over. Be sure to check out his Tarot Card imagery and visit this fan site too.

Acclaimed in Italy as the Michelangelo of comics, Tanino Liberatore’s (Born 1953) fondest wish as a child, was to paint naked women (and he still does to this date!). His series “Ranxerox” is a punk, futuristic Frankenstein made of Xerox photocopiers who hangs out with a young girl, together they are a bizarre Beauty and the Beast. Check out a selection of his work on his site.
