Sold out shows left right and centre. Yumiko Kayukawa hails from Sapporo Japan. Her candy-colored Japanese-themed art blends fashion illustration, sharp iconic graphics, and meticulously rendered flora and fauna to create images that evoke a dreamy and enigmatically erotic tone.

Reiji Suzuki is a Japanese photographer who has been running ROPE MAGIC since 1993. The main contents of his site is photographs of faceless Japanese women who are bound with the rope. Not exactly my kinda thing, but I enjoyed viewing the photographs (there’s hundreds of them).

Beautiful dreamy paintings by Stockholm based artist Naomi Johanna Nowak. Fantastic style and great use of colour (I love her use of pinks and purples). Be sure to check out her portfolio for some great comic work too and she also writes a blog.

Aya Kato. I have this folder on my desktop titled “cool shiat”. It’s where I save all the inspirational images I find on the net. I’ve just finished filling it up with Aya Kato’s amazing images. Argh wow. Wow, wow, wow. I won’t say anymore… just check her work out for yourself.

Montreal based Heidi Taillefer uses oils and acrylic and has developed a style known for it’s mechanical overtones and symbolic fusion of elements. Such amazing detail I only wish I could see her work a little larger.

Religion, war, sex and red meat! Amazing work by London based illustrator Espira who “triumphantly mixes the beauty and style of haute coutre and historial costume with the mundane and commonplace such as shopping trollies, cigarettes, page 3 girls and kebabs, to create powerful surrealistic punk portraits”.

I’ve been a fan of Australian born illustrator Ashley Wood’s work for some time now (ever since buying his comic book series “Popbot” for the sexy pictures, not the words!). He’s got a dynamic style which mixes traditional painting techniques and digital photography with graphic software. You’ll have to buy his books to see his more erotic sexy stuff but in the meantime, click here to check out his work (also be sure to check out his excellent blog). Yum.
