Frances Turner who sadly passed away in February 2003 was an extremely talented artist. Her work consisted mainly of portraits, illustrating her subjects in often confrontational ways. Do visit her website which has a complete catalogue of her works, and Art at Large, which has also comprised a number of news articles about Frances from the mainstream media.
Talk about capturing the moment. Check out his stunning images of pleasure or perhaps pain. I love the colour and expression in Bill Fogarty’s work, we hope you enjoy as well.
Artmam is a website which offers a selection of works from artists mainly from Europe for sale. They have a very nice erotic section which showcases numerous works from artists that you’ll struggle to find work from elsewhere.
Lorlei is a miniature scupture who works with the female form to create 6 inch models of sexy mythical female creatures, such as mermaids and fairies. Her work is very lifelike, and they remind me of those crazy little porcelain busts my grandma thought i was into when i was a kid, of course the ones she gave me were of puppy dogs and kittens, not gorgeous women with long legs and perfect breasts.

Erato is a Greek artist. I find her work fascinating, a mixture of bulging black line and dobs of colour.
Living and working in Spain, Juan’s photographic work is humid and edgy. I can almost feel the Madrid summer while I look over his work. His nudes (which he admits are his favourite genre) are gritty and beautiful.
German photographer Claus Rose, you can find galleries online showcasing his work just about everywhere, he’s one popular guy. His Website is nice, although not as slick as his work. I personally loved his “Art and Nature” gallery. We hope you enjoy finding your favourite.
Californian artist Craig Elliot, his work showcased in his portfolio online is lucious and emotive. I really like his fantasy gear.
Polish artist Agata Bogacka creates simple sexy portraits, using mostly close acquaintainces as the subjects of her works.
I started having a browse around Sandra Bermudez’s site through a link which showed some cute little toy bunnies resting on pillows. After a couple of minutes browsing her portfolio, I came across the more sexual side of her work. Lucious lips and skin. The rabbits are still pretty cool too (if you’re into that sort of thing)… :)
Mark Dancey is a cartoonist and painter who resides in Detroit in the US. I stumbled across his website “Illuminado” – The Mark Dancey Center for Graphic Energy. I love his acrylic work, the circular images portray women in numerous states of undress from great heights.
The first time i watched the Ren & Stimpy show, I felt physically sick (I’d always been one of those kids that couldn’t handle runny stuff out in the backyard). I was immediately shunned by my friends and I placed myself into hard training to learn to cope with the extreme grotesque close ups Bill Wray illustrates within the cartoon to fit back in socially. I eventually suceeded and have had a soft spot for the show ever since. Bill Wray continues as an artist producing work which follows through from his famous work on Ren and Stimpy and Mad Magazine, through to haunting landscapes of his local surrounds in California. His blog, which is updated regularly is a cool little insight into his current works.
He was my first love. Brett Whiteley’s work continues to rock our world long after his passing in 1992. His studio and home (1939 – 1992) has now been converted into the “Brett Whiteley Studio”, where you can view some of his wonderful works and get a feel for the surrounds of one of the greatest expressionist painters Australia has ever produced.
There is something about superrealism that gets me every time. Jeffery Gold is an American artist with a gift, we hope you enjoy his numerous works dated from 1979 until the present…
I’m in love with this woman, her art is vibrant, strong and rockin’. Hazel Dooney is an Australian painter with attitude. I especially liked her 2000/2001 series “Career Babes”, it has inspired me in relation to my current career options. :) Do ensure you check out her blog, I found it informative.
Haunting and surreal, Pat Brassington’s photo media work is somewhat disturbing in its dancing innocence. Check out her work at both the Arc1 Gallery website and for a more inclusive look at her portfolio, go to the Stills Gallery site.
Check out the fantastic work of Shanghai, China based designer and artist Sarah Sculley. Dynamic and bold artwork, love her design work too.
beinArt Surreal Art Collective is an online gallery/resource that represents over 170 artists, some of which we’ve featured on Sex in Art, many of whom explore erotic themes.
Tracy Nakayama is a New York based artist who in 2003 produced a series of beautifully “sun-drenched” works which depicted scenes from 70′s porn films.
You can check out some of her work at the following galleries online here, here and here.
