Amazing work from French fashion photographer Thierry Le Gouès. Love his super styling fashion photography for French Magazine (damn I love that logotype of theirs) and also be sure to check ‘SOUL’ which is a visionary collection of nudes and portraits of today’s most well known and admired models of African descent.

Buddha's Delight

Divine Interventions” showcases a range of biblically inspired didoes. From the Diving Nun, to the Jackhammer Jesus. One of the most amusing would have to be the Buddha’s Delight, gets you thinking about what exactly he’s smiling about.

The Calendar

calendar.jpg

A little late but I just stumbled upon this lovely little calendar project which is a collaboration between 2 juxtaposing artists. One is the much respected graffiti artist Mode2 (If you own an old Graff book chances are it’s called ‘Spraycan Art’ published by Thames and Hudson featuring Mode2’s work on the cover), the other is Master Photographer Harri Peccinotti who’s famous for his work on the 1968 Pirelli Calendar. Anyways, check it out: The Calendar which is downloadable and operates on your desktop.

Robert Crumb

Posted in Comics by sexinart

crumb.jpg

Robert Crumb (born August 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an artist and illustrator recognized for the distinctive style of his drawings and his critical, satirical, subversive view of the American mainstream.

Crumb was a founder of the underground comics movement and is regarded as its most prominent figure. Though one of the most celebrated of comic book artists, Crumb’s entire career has unfolded outside the mainstream comic book publishing industry. One of his most recognized works is the Keep On Truckin’ drawing, which became a widely distributed fixture of pop-culture in the 1970’s. Be sure to watch this documentary on the man, definitely a must have for your collection. Also check out this fan site for more images.
