French-Hungarian Markus Klinko and half Indian, half English Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri make a dynamic duo who have become notorious for producing iconic images. Collaborating as a team since 1995 their super polished, highly stylised and sexually charged fashion and celebrity images are making waves all around the world. Visit Markus Klinko & Indrani.

Fantastic work by Argentinan based Photographer Urko Suaya. His site is split in 2 sections, professional and personal. His professional work is great, squeeky clean, super saturated and high class (I think he has a thing for legs too), but I really like the stuff in his little books on his personal section, the “osea” series where bones are illustrated over nude models looks especially cool.

Pornogobelin is an attempt at reviving an all but forgotten bourgeois pheonomenon of centuries past. By combining traditional techniques (needlepoint) and traditional motifs (erotica) the author approcahes in a fresh and playful way the aesthetics of the digital format, which is these days largely utilized for dissemination of pornography on the web. Check the “events” section for photos from the exhibition.

I first came across Magnus Blomster’s work on Raster, an amazing online art group. I downloaded all of it and used it as desktop wallpaper for months! His girlfriend is the subject of a lot of his work. I love his Art Nouveau style, reminds me of some of the great Aubrey Beardsley’s work.
He’s currently working on his web site, check out his archives page for a taste of things to come. If you really can’t wait, you could check out his Raster Gallery.

“Eric Kellerman is a Brit living near Nijmegen, in the Netherlands. When not taking photos, he is a University Professor”. Great composition and warm sepia tones, sensual, classic and beautiful. As timeless as his work appears, amazingly all of it is digital. Consider me a fan.

In the same vein as Sex Packing’s controversial pornstar videos, creative Agency JWT has created a “hardcore” advertisement for Scruffs workwear. Whilst it’s not exactyl “hardcore”, it sure is pretty funny, and sexy too! Click here for the advertisement (complete with my fave song from the great Reservoir Dogs soundtrack “And Now Little Green Bag”). (via).

Where do I start with Dave McKean?! (he’s my hero). Readers of Neil Gaiman’s excellent Sandman comic book series would know Dave’s work on the beautiful covers. Textured, mixed media, emotional, smart and highly conceptual artwork which has influenced so many artists the world over. Be sure to check out his Tarot Card imagery and visit this fan site too.

“Softbodies is based on the idea of physical and biological presence of life concentrating on defining shapes that convey the general idea of cell, organ and body.”
Check out the interesting drawings of Simone Stoll. Biological, cellular, fragile, organic shapes that are somehow very sensual. More of his work here too. (via).

English artist Jenny Saville is most commonly recognised for her skill as a painter, and you can view some of her works, here and here. In 2002 she collaborated with photographer Glen Luchford, to create the Closed Contact works, which featured Jenny posing naked on glass, allowing her body to smoosh and flatten against the clear surface, creating some very interesting images. Probably not turn on material for everyone, but i’ve never seen anything like this before, and they make for intriguing viewing.

Artistically misunderstood, derisively known as the most famous widow in the world and vilified as the catalyst for the breakup of the most famous music group of all time, Yoko Ono in actuality is an uncompromising artistic visionary who was already an avant-garde superstar before she met John Lennon. More. PS: photograph by Annie Leibovitz.
